Temperate Grassland Climatogram

Locations of Temperate Grasslands around the world

A Brief List of Flora & Fauna in the Temperate Grassland

-Big cats such as cheetahs and lions.
-In North America wolves, coyotes and foxes hunt mice, rabbits and deer.
-American bison and bighorn sheep are also in grasslands in the United States.
-Some smaller mammals like mice, jack-rabbits, skunks, black-footed ferrets, badgers, prairie dogs, ground squirrels and pocket gophers all live in the grasslands as well.
-Several species of snakes including the garter snake and rattlesnake.
-The most common types of plants in the grassland are buffalo grass, sunflower, crazy weed, asters, blazing stars, coneflowers, goldenrods, clover and wild indigos.

List of Flora and Fauna in the Rainforest

-More than half of the world’s species of plants and animals are found in the rainforest. Rainforest support a very broad array of fauna, including mammals, reptiles, birds and invertebrates.
-Mammals may include primates, felids and other members of the mammal family.
-Reptiles include snakes, turtles, chameleons and other families; while birds include such families as vangidae and cuculidae.
-Dozens of families of invertebrates are found in rainforests.
-Fungi are also very common in rainforest areas as they can feed on decomposing remains of plants and animals.

Rainforest and Temperate Grassland, which one would I live in?

I would rather live in the temperate grassland because the rainforest would be too hot and humid for me to live in. The amount of bugs and animals in the rainforest would be too much for me cause most of the bugs are poisonous and most of the animals want to kill you. So I would like in the Temperate Grassland cause it would be easier to live in with all the animals and I like to hunt and have fun.

Mass Wasting, Landslides, creep, mudflows their similarities and differences. Mass Wasting Landslides Creep Mudflows Definition Landslide is the rapid movement down hill of soil and rock Creep soil moves down hill slowly or over long periods of time Movement of soil on steep slopes water mixing with soil Similarities All soil is being affected by gravity. Differences - The way in which the gravity affects the process differs. The time also differs. The way in which they are initiated can differ.

Preston, Colton, Chiffon and Phillips group - How does it affect a building sight

1. Sink holes are like limestone underground it make cares and the top make sink holes. It makes caves and some sort of a half hill. You shouldn’t build on a chemical weathered sink hole because it can damage the house and make holes on the bottom of the house.

2.What is chemical weathering?

Chemical weathering = sink holes

Chemical weathering in soil, formation, and the process that occurs when the minerals in rocks react with water or other substances, causing the chemical makeup of the rock to change.

Q:  Definition Physical Weathering.

A: Physical weathering breaks rocks into smaller and smaller pieces through freezing, thawing, rubbing, and striking.

Q: How dose Physical Weathering affect the location of a building sight.

A: When water enters cracks in rocks and then freezes it expands forces the cracks wider and which understanding that building on what I sad I think that’s the best way to word it.

I will visit Jacen Jimerson, Preston Henry and Garrett.
